Balmela 2025: A Day of Joy, Talent, and Togetherness

On October 18, 2025, the SVD Grounds came alive with laughter, colors, and excitement as Sarva Seva Sangh (SSS) hosted its much-awaited annual Balmela a grand celebration dedicated to children. The event brought together beneficiaries of SSS along with children from various partner NGOs, with special transport arranged so that every child could join the fun.

The day began with an energetic Zumba session, filling the grounds with music and cheerful movement as the children arrived. The celebration was inaugurated by Mr. Yogesh Mulik, along with confreres from Ishvani, DWS, the Parish Priest of Divine Mercy Parish, and priests from other congregations. Their inspiring words of encouragement and the ceremonial balloon release marked the official opening, creating a magical moment for everyone present.

Adding to the excitement, Mr. Bapusaheb Tukaram Pathare, (MLA) visited the Balmela separately to meet the children. He interacted warmly with them, appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Sarva Seva Sangh team, and wished the staff and children all the very best for their future. His visit brought great encouragement and pride to everyone present.

The venue was transformed into an enchanting fairground featuring exciting rides and game stalls designed for all age groups. Every child received prizes, ensuring smiles all around, while a thrilling lucky draw kept the excitement high throughout the day.

The afternoon’s highlight was a vibrant cultural program, where children from five contact points showcased their talents through captivating dances and performances. One special guest, Ms. Komal Ghongade, Finance Manager at Capita Company, shared her inspiring story. Once a child supported by SSS, she expressed heartfelt gratitude for the organization’s guidance especially during her mother’s critical illness and motivated the children to dream big.

Fr. Mahipal also inspired the young audience, using a creative counting game to explain how education builds the foundation for a bright future. His simple yet powerful message left a lasting impression on the children.

The event was a resounding success, reflecting Sarva Seva Sangh’s deep commitment to nurturing children’s holistic growth through fun, learning, and community spirit. Balmela 2025 once again proved that when children are given joy, encouragement, and opportunity they truly shine.
